In Canada, the North American Muslim Foundation is governed by an elected board of seven directors and a duly approved constitution. An executive director functions as an ex-officio non-voting member of the board. NAMF is federally registered with the Government of Canada and functions under the Canada Corporation Act, Charities Accounting Act and the Income Tax Act. Its financial statements are audited annually by a chartered accountant and its documents are filed with the Canada Revenue Agency and Industry Canada. NAMF maintains a strict policy of accountability and transparency in all its transactions. NAMF fully adheres to a nondiscriminatory policy in deliverance of its programs and services.
