The aim of the NAMF Sisters Halaqah Program is to educate and mentor young women within the Muslim community between the ages of 13-25. The Sisters Halaqah (circle of knowledge) provides attendees with a sense of Sisterhood and belonging. North American Muslim Foundation recognizes the importance of uplifting our youth, especially young women living within a society that often demoralizes and disrespects the female gender. We at NAMF feel it is imperative to provide our young Sisters with the tools to be able to resist these societal constructs. There is no better tool than the teachings of Allah (SWT) and the example of the Prophet (SAW) and the Mothers of the Believers (RA). Topics discussed at the halaqahs aim to be relevant and cover current issues such as body image, sisterhood, drugs in school, etc.
